Discussion for "Dragon Slayer" (January 22, 2015)

Dragon Slayer:
The S.C.U. investigates the death of a college student. Initially deemed a suicide, the team discovers the boy's death was in fact a drug-fueled homicide. With Backstrom's unorthodox investigative techniques, the team must utilize all of their individual skills and work together to catch the killer. Meanwhile, Backstrom's doctor DEB CHAMAN threatens to fail him on his physical if he doesn't start making healthy choices, and prescribes him to make one new friend.

I have to say for a pilot episode, it was pretty good. I really enjoyed Backstrom's character, and his comedic racism that wasn't offensive at all. Looking forward to the next episode most definitely. Still can't believe what happened with the guy, and his "black b****" though. That was pretty weird, aha.

Yea, Everett Backstrom is very Sherlock-esque like it has been said. Looking forward to future episodes for sure!

I really love it how he basically hates everyone though, and how he can basically know anything by putting himself in a person's shoes. Pretty useful skill to have.

Also, each character introduction was done perfectly.

I must say I'm impressed with the pilot. I was expecting a character more like Sherlock or House, but he seems a bit different, he directly hates people.

The show feels very unique, I love when they go out of their way to create unique crime-of-the-week shows. Will definitely be seeing more.

The thing I love about the show is that it's different to those other detective shows and more in the modern-now. It expresses it's uniqueness in such a way that keeps me intigued through every episode! :)
